Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Yahee (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them and to our Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Yahee is a web desktop that stores your files, mail, notes and messages with end-to-end encryption. The Service is in Beta and may change, be interrupted or lose data. Keep your own backups of anything important.
2. Your account and your keys
- You are responsible for your password and your 12-word recovery key. Because content is encrypted with keys only you hold, we cannot recover your data or reset your password without the recovery key.
- You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority you need a parent or guardian's permission.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of what you upload, send or write ("Your Content"). You grant Yahee only the limited permission needed to store, transmit and deliver it to the people you choose. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for having the right to share it.
Encryption and moderation. Most content is encrypted in your browser and we cannot read it. That means we generally cannot review it in advance or monitor it. We rely on users to report problems (see Report abuse), and we act on reports and valid legal requests as described below.
4. Prohibited use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In short: nothing illegal, no child sexual abuse material, no malware, no harassment, no infringement, no spam or abuse of the Service.
5. Reports, takedowns and termination
- Anyone can report content or an account at /report or by email to abuse@yahee.xyz.
- When we receive a report about a public link (Private Drop or share link) we can disable that link, and we can remove the underlying stored file, without notice.
- We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms or the law, including repeat infringers, and we may preserve and disclose information where the law requires it. Where legally required we report illegal material, including child sexual abuse material, to the competent authorities.
- You can stop using the Service and delete your content at any time.
6. Copyright
If you believe something on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to abuse@yahee.xyz or use the report form with: the link or location of the material, a description of the work, your contact details, a statement that you act in good faith and that the information is accurate, and your signature (typed is fine). If you believe a removal was a mistake you may send us a counter-notice.
7. Third-party content and links
Files, links and messages are created by users, not by Yahee. We do not endorse them and are not responsible for them. Open files and links from people you do not trust at your own risk.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AVAILABILITY, OR THAT DATA WILL NOT BE LOST OR CORRUPTED. Encryption reduces risk but cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yahee and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or from content posted by users. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or zero if you use the free plan). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold harmless Yahee and its operators from claims, losses and costs arising from Your Content or your breach of these terms or the law.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will post it here with a new date. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules; courts there have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law gives you other rights. Questions: abuse@yahee.xyz.
